Next Ride, 2nd June.

A quick heads up that our next ride is on 2nd June (that’s the Sunday of Queen’s Birthday weekend). If you’re looking to enter the Tarawera 100 this year, then it’s a great chance to get some practice in, and if you’re just looking for some fun in the forest, then this is the place to be!

Also remember, if you’re keen on a free ride, check out TTBRC Freeride – all you need to do is email us (admin@ttbrc.co.nz) and come along a bit earlier on ride day.

Sunday. First ride. Be there!

20130503-FirstRide-BeThereHi everyone.

Well it’s been a long time coming but we’re geared up for an excellent start to the trail ride season. Sunday 5th May is the first ride for the 2013 TTBRC. Come on down!

We’ve convinced the weather to behave and it should be a blast on what look like amazing tracks. We’ve got a great 40km loop organised (some you’ll recognise, some will be totally new) and another 20km for those that need more.

We’ll run a very short briefing at 9:45am, just to get you in the swing of things, and then you’ll be able to head off into the forest. We’ll also be running a family guided ride through the forest. That’ll leave from the Communications tent at 10:30am sharp.

This year, we’ve made the ride fees Adult $40; Family $80 and Child (under 14) $10; this is the first time we’ve increased the prices in 5 years and reflects the increase in costs to keep our tracks in tip-top condition. Don’t worry, if you’re strapped for cash, we’ll be introducing “TTBRC Freeride”, so check out the slideshow on the home page for details.

There’s plenty of other information on what to do, what to bring, where we are, who to talk to on our Trail Rides page. There’s also the 2013 Membership And Briefing forms. Click on the link at the top of this page for more detail.

Something a little bit different for the T100 this year

Hi everyone.

This year’s Tarawera 100 is going to have a whole lot of new challenges for racers. We’ve assembled a dedicated T100 track team, led by Robbie and Tony, that are busy planning how to make the 2013 Tarawera 100 better than ever before. There will be new tracks, some fresh enduro obstacles, and plenty of trails that will separate the boys from the men!

With the dry weather it’ll be a little while before the team can get in the bush and craft the track, but if you want to get in on the ground floor and help out (and maybe get some intel on the track along the way), give Robbie a call on O27 484 5352

Trail Ride Calendar, get it now!

Hi everyone. Here’s a link that you’ll want to download, it’s a neat calendar showing all our ride dates: http://www.ttbrc.co.nz/files/trailrides/2013/TR-TrailRideSeries.pdf
